Contract: Full Time / Permanent - Monday to Thursday, 08:00am – 4:30pm & Friday, 08:00 – 14:00 (38 hours p/w) additional hours will be required when travelling to other sites including overnight stays. Part of the Distilling Leadership Team On-Call rota.

What the opportunity looks like:
The Maturation Manager is responsible for leading the maturation and blending operations across Invergordon and Dalmore. Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety, efficiency and the strategic requirements of the business are met with regards to both new make and mature spirit.
- Responsible for compliance systems, especially Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, HMRC, SWA and other standards.
- Implement best practice in processes and procedures, maximising effectiveness and efficiency at the Warehouse complex at Invergordon which includes the Cooperage and Filling stores and external Warehouses.
- Initiate and enhance relationships internally and with true partners to accelerate mutual advantage.
- Drive the short-term maturation strategy with a view of 12-18 months, ensuring sufficient capacity and type of filling, blending, warehousing and other operational requirements.
- Manage the stock system for Rare and Prestige and Private Client team.
- Lead, implement and support continual improvement projects and ensure ownership.
- Provide motivation and direction to the team by encouraging and supporting the achievement of goals through coaching, feedback, recognition and role model the right behaviours aligned to our values.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role we're looking for:
- Industry specific qualification such as Diploma in Distilling or significant experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within distilling.
- Strong working knowledge of maturation best practice and principles.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with an ability to make decisions and the resilience to see these through to completion.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
