​​​​​​​Tamnavulin is the youngest of the Whyte & Mackay distilleries and is the epitome of a Speyside Malt: smooth, bright and mellow. It is a forerunner to the recent crop of new distilleries that pride themselves in combining age-old expertise in distilling with sophisticated modern techniques. The name Tamnavulin is the Gaelic translation of ‘mill on the hill’, named in part after the historic former carding mill which sits on the site of the distillery.
