The Green Print
As whisky makers, we understand our responsibility to limit our environmental impact. Our natural surroundings provide the resources we need to create our award-winning spirits. Therefore, it is crucial for us to support a sustainable future for our planet. We have outlined our commitment to sustainability in the Whyte & Mackay Green Print, which details our journey toward a sustainable future.
Through the Green Print, we commit to:
- Live up to our corporate duty in society, partnering with experts to think ahead and drive change
- Minimise our environmental impact, striving to continuously improve our sustainability efforts
- Play a positive role in our communities, supporting continuous improvement of resource use and sustainability education
- Be good stewards of our resources, seeking to reuse and reduce consumption wherever possible
- Bring to life the Green Print in action through our brands to reinforce our reputation as a driving force in whisky, building brands that stand out
Through these steps, we can help support a sustainable and ethical future for our business and the whisky industry as a whole.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
Our ability to seek and value diverse perspectives enables us to better understand and navigate complex problems and create innovative ideas in every corner of our business.
The Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Charter outlines our commitment to this belief and our role in promoting it within the whisky industry. By prioritising DEI, we strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all our colleagues.
Our DEI Committee is composed of colleagues who are dedicated to championing equality and inclusion at Whyte & Mackay and is led by Anila Jayaraman.
Charity & Community
Our Charity and Community Awards are designed to acknowledge and assist community and charitable initiatives that are meaningful to our colleagues and their immediate families. Every month, colleagues from all areas of the business can submit a request for a cash or product donation to support a charity or community initiative they are involved with.
