Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Monday to Thursday, 08:00am – 4:30pm & Friday, 08:00 – 14:00 (38 hours p/w) Some evenings and weekend work, on call and travel overseas and within the UK will be required and on call rota.

What the opportunity looks like:
Key responsibility will be the leadership and management of the Distillery including liaising with the Brand Home & Experience Team. The nature of the job is very cross functional including areas such as health and safety, HMRC, quality, risk, engineering, sustainability, process support and brand representation.
Accountabilities will include site production satisfies an agreed budget in line with volume, cost and efficiency targets. As well as constant review of reducing risk to ensure continuous improvement for the distillery and the brand home.
You will act as our ambassador on Jura, developing excellent relationships on behalf of the company with the island community.
- Leading and motivating the Distillery team with the Distiller and supporting the Brand Home Team. Creating an environment that ensures a positive and performance driven team can continue to succeed and continually improve.
- Fully support the Health & Safety Manager in the development and maintenance of health and safety processes and procedures with a strong focus on continuous improvement and legislative compliance.
- Be able to have great vision to forward plan, for assisting the Distilling Director in undertaking as much opportunities and challenges to maximise the flexibility of the business, as well as utilising all equipment on site.
- To effectively set budgets and KPI’s, which requires full understanding of critical spares, understanding engineering reports to be able to set accurate maintenance budgets and justify these budgets in order to minimise downtime and maximise efficiencies.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role we're looking for:
- Previous experience within a leadership role.
- Experience in a scientific or engineering discipline along with experience in Distilling & Warehousing.
- IOSH level of health and safety training, NEBOSH would be desirable.
- GCD in Distilling through the IBD, Diploma would be desirable.
