Location: Singapore - South East Asia - The role will work across key customers and airports throughout South East Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar with emphasis on Changi Singapore and KL Malaysia.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent - 35 hours per week, based on the need to work across multiple time zones. Virtual working combined with extensive cross-border travel to meet customers and partner with team members. Regular video conference with the Asia GTR team in Hong Kong and with the leadership team in Scotland is required.

What the opportunity looks like:
The South East Asia Business Manager: Global Travel Retail is responsible for delivering the annual sales and profit budget by developing a multi-year market development plan, building effective customer plans and partnerships each year, negotiating pricing, terms and investment, agreeing a joint annual business plan and ultimately ensuring our brand Distribution, Visibility and Activation delivers on our growth ambition.
Deliver sustainable growth top and bottom line over multiple years, increasing brand presence & market share for our priority malt whisky brands in line with the business 5 year plan and the commercial annual P&L targets.
Deliver the annual budget, measured as Brand Contribution pre & post Strategic Marketing for travel retail customers across the combined South East Asia region: top three priorities: Lotte in Changi, Eraman in Malaysia, Kingpower in Thailand.
Deliver the plan in the right way ensuring the pricing goals are delivered, including regular trade terms & margin reviews whilst tracking and nurturing our RRPs.
Deliver each customers task on both absolute growth and margin % per brand & key skus. Ensure minimum pricing guidelines are delivered including landing price increases, as directed, each year.
Deliver profitable growth in airport retail through achieving distribution of all target SKUs and ensuring prominent brand positioning on shelf. This role will assess, prioritise, track and deliver improvements to the amount & quality of space we have across each major airport. Tracking will include the status in each airport for our brands (number of SKU’s listed and their shelf position) and the quality of The Dalmore visibility benchmarked to key luxury malt competitors.
Deliver on the role of GTR as a shop window for our brands by building brand awareness & engagement through quality & share of permanent visibility and off-shelf activations. This role is charged with ensuring we secure improvements year on year to our brand activation including increasing access to High Profile Promotions.
This role must manage and build a team of effective Malt Whisky Consultants capable of converting shoppers and engaging directly with consumers to sell prestige products in a way that creates outstanding consumer experiences.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role we're looking for:
Evidence of delivering sustainable, profitable P&L growth across a complex or multi-market customer.
Strong understanding of Travel Retail dynamics vs domestic markets.
Proven ability to network and manage complex customers and developing distributor partnerships.
Evidence of building & executing customer facing brand plans with high quality activation.
Excellent understanding of P&L Management including net revenue management.
Strong knowledge of forecasting, importing & supply chain management in global consumer goods.
